Watch this dramatic true story of a young man’s passage from juvenile delinquency, violence, and meth addiction to a profound encounter with Christ and his Church.
Daniel grew up thinking of himself as a “Catholic” although he had never been baptized, catechized, or attended Mass on a regular basis. Daniel is a simple, largely uneducated man who tells his story with a directness and power that audiences around the country have found inspiring and challenging. Featuring Fr. Mike Fones, OP, who first heard Daniel’s story and conducts Daniel’s interview.
This DVD was filmed originally so that participants in the Institute’s Making Disciples seminar could gain experience in listening to and recognizing pre-discipleship levels of spiritual development and gain a clearer sense of the spiritual experiences of unchurched, post-modern young adults.
The DVD is broken into 5 sections with questions between each section for viewers to discuss. It is a great resource for Making Disciples alumni and those involved in youth or addiction ministry, evangelization and RCIA.
You can learn more about how to recognize and effectively respond to pre-discipleship thresholds of spiritual development and their critical importance for a wide variety of ministries by attending our Making Disciples seminar.
A good introduction to the thresholds can be found by reading I Once Was Lost.
